Exclusive spaces for postgraduates at Nottingham

There are five Graduate Centres which, along with the central facilities housed in the Pope Building on University Park, form the University's Graduate School in Nottingham.  There are also Graduate Centres located at our Malaysia and China Campuses.

These centres provide a social area with tea/coffee making facilities, access to newspapers and journals, study space, wireless internet access and seminar rooms.  They also provide access to a range of dedicated researcher development activities including training courses, careers sessions and seminars.  Some of these are bespoke events for researchers at that location/for that discipline, whilst others are offered in conjunction with other Graduate Centres.

Graduate school staff are present at the Graduate Centres on a regular basis to provide researchers with the opportunity to discuss issues related to their career and professional development needs.  One of the roles of the centres is to encourage networking between researchers across the wide range of different disciplines represented both academically and socially and researchers are invited to join in activities and become an active part of the user community.
